CLSA Open House
We hope you'll join us for a fun afternoon of food, friends, and sailing. It's a great opportunity to learn about our sailing programs, our members, and our many activities. We'll have friendly members available who can answer questions about CLSA and the different styles of sailing on various boats and boards: Flying Scots, Thistles, cabin boats, Lasers, kiteboards, windsurfers and more!  Schedule your ride for 1:30pm, 2pm, or 3pm (approximate dock times). Hot dogs and chips will be served in the CLSA pavilion from noon to about 2:00. Kids under 16 are welcome, but only two kids will be allowed on a boat at the same time.

Adult Sail at The Glow

“The Glow” is hosted by the Clinton Lake Sailing Association and Fleet 135 and takes place the first weekend after Labor Day. 39 Flying Scots raced in 2023. The event was originally named the Glow in the Dark Regatta because Clinton Lake is a cooling lake for the nuclear plant. The first version of the event was held between 1985-1999.  Those who were around during the 80s and 90s tell us the party was legendary. Deb Aronson and Ben Williams reintroduced the Glow II Regatta in 2007 and it has grown into one of the largest and most popular events on the FSSA regatta calendar. Those who travel to Clinton Lake are treated like family and can look forward to exceptional racing, food, and fun.

In 2024, the racers at the Glow will be giving free rides to adults starting at 6pm on Friday on a first-come-first-served basis. Enjoy a free hot dog, make some new friends, and experience the amazing vibe that is the Glow in the Dark Regatta. Also, you'll learn about all the amazing sailing programs that CLSA has to offer. Registration is required. Participants are encouraged to complete a short and free Crew Safety Certification course through SailboatIntructor.com.  Please contact fleet135racing@gmail.com if you have any questions.
