CLSA Mixed Fleet Racing is open to all boats and racers of all experience levels.  Racers will register in the pavilion at 12:00pm.  Volunteers, please register for this event as a volunteer by clicking the 'register' button.  Racers will be scored based on their elapsed times adjusted for phrf handicap.   Results will be shared in pavilion after racing and awards will be presented.

Course

We will race a leeward start course.

Starting Groups & Class Flags

Start 1

Flying Scot Flag

Boats with portsmouth rating >= a Flying Scot, except Holder 20.

Cabin Boats, 420, Laser, Sunfish, Flying Scot, Holder 20

Start 2

Thistle Flag

Boats with a portsmouth rating < than a Flying Scot. 

C Scow, MC Scow, Thistle, cats.

Time Limits

Mark 1 Time Limit Time limit for the first boat to pass Mark 1 is 30 minutes.

Race Time Limit Time limit for the first boat to sail the course and finish is 70 minutes.

Finishing Window Time limit for boats to finish after the first boat sails the course and finishes is 20 minutes.

Shortened Course

If we shorten the course and a slower boat races a shorter course than other boats in mixed fleet handicap racing, we adjust the finish time as if the slower boat sailed the full distance. 

If we shorten the course and a slower boat races a shorter course than other boats of the same make and model, the boat that sails the shorter course will be scored behind all boats that sail the longer course. 

Protests

A racer intending to file a protest must report their intention to the race committee before the warning signal of the subsequent race, or before the race committee leaves their station for shore if the incident occurred during the final race of the day.
