It's been too long since we had a big social event in the pavilion and we hope you can join us! The fun starts at 6 p.m.

Click here to RSVP and order your steaks or veggie burgers through Thursday. If you are ordering different food items for family members or guests, you'll have to place a separate order for each food item, but it's easy to do. (Those with family memberships must sign in to Wild Apricot using the primary email account when placing your order.)

Non-member guests are welcome. To sponsor a guest, simply note the number of guests when ordering your steak or veggie burger dinners. If you would like to order different food items for different guests, you will have to place multiple orders, one for each food type.

This is a bring-your-own-beverage event. Members and guests are welcome but not required to bring a dessert to share.

We can't wait to see you at the lake!

Member survey results suggest an interest in fun non-racing activities on the water. We are thinking about trying something new and we're tentatively planning a raft-up for the afternoon of July 10th before the steak dinner. Participants would meet in the pavilion at 2:30 p.m. and go out on the lake for a fun and relaxing time. There would be cold beverages, inflatable rafts and more.

Pre-registration (we are gauging interest) is happening now!

Boat Owners: Sign up here. If we can get 10 boats by June 26, we'll pull the trigger and announce this event on June 27.

    Tentative Plan

    Register through July 8.
Crew confirmations sent out on Friday.
Meet in the pavilion at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, for further instructions.

If you are planning to sail with us on Tuesday or have questions, please email by the end of the day Monday.

Small Boat Tuesday is an opportunity to get more on the water sailing time and practice your small boat sailing skills on the club Lasers and Sunfish. If you are an experienced sailor, you are welcome to join us for an evening of sailing too.

Here's how Tuesday small boat sailing works:

    • Look for Small Boat Tuesday in the weekly events email.
    • Please respond by Monday night if you want to sail on Tuesday.
    • Someone will be at the lake at 5:30 Tuesday to assist with rigging and answering questions.
    • We will be setting up boats between 5:30 and 6, so join us when you can after work.
    • Support won't be there unless there is interest in sailing small boats that week.

Our Grillin' Out on July 10th event is a fun opportunity to get out to the lake for great food and exceptional camaraderie! We'll be grilling steaks to order on the grill and serving up potato salad as a side. Members are welcome to bring a dessert to share. Order a steak dinner for $12 or a veggie burger dinner for $6 through July 7. Please pack a cooler as beverages will not be provided by CLSA.

    RSVP here.

Members, please sign in to Wild Apricot to register through July 7.  Members may sponsor guests by paying for their meal.

Do you have a suggestion that can make our club better and more attractive? If you do, the CLSA board wants to hear it! We have now added a suggestion box to the Contact Us page of the website. The CLSA board is actively reviewing which projects to consider and your feedback will help us decide which projects to prioritize. Suggestions for small improvements are also encouraged. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

The CLSA board voted on June 15 to require distance race organizers to drop a race mark away from the shallow ridge in the large basin. This mark must be rounded to starboard when sailing towards the dam and must be rounded to port when sailing back towards the club. The new route towards the dam is shown in green on the image. The previous route shown in red often resulted in boat damage because the shortest course regularly took boats over known shallow water hazards.
