Spring Banquet

posted Mar 20, 2017, 4:59 AM by CLSA Sailing   [ updated Mar 26, 2017, 1:01 PM ]
Please join us for the annual CLSA Spring Banquet on Saturday, April 1st at the Clinton Lake Marina (not the CLSA Pavilion).

5 pm: Happy hour and the silent auction will begin
6 pm: Dinner
Our banquet will include a presentation from Andy Carmada of Quantum Sails in Chicago. His 30 minute talk will be on sail care, different sail materials and how to use them.

Dinner will be catered by Hickory River and will be $25/person. Please bring a check or cash. We will provide lemonade and iced tea, but you may also bring your own "special" beverages if you prefer. There is no operating bar in the marina.

Since, CLSA has hired a caterer for this event, it is crucial that members planning to attend the banquet use the RSVP system
by Friday, March 31st (the form will automatically shut down at 11:55 CST 3/31/2017).

Please, RSVP here: RSVP Form

We are currently accepting donations for the silent auction. We will happily accept any new or gently used nautical items (really, anything to do with sailing) for the auction. As mentioned in last month's Windword, adult beverages also sell well! We have several enticing items for raffle. One of these items will be a margarita machine, donated by Eric & Nancy Bussell, which retails for over $200! The other raffle item is a sailboat landscape personally painted by Stephanie Tesdal (pictured below; size is 16x24in). In addition to the raffle items there are always a few great door prizes too!

All proceeds from the auction will go towards our CLSA operating expenses. We thank you in advance for your support!

This is also a great time to renew your CLSA membership in advance. Paper forms will be on hand at the event. As a reminder, individual membership is $70 and family memberships are $95.

We look forward to seeing you at the lake!
