Intermediate Sailing is for sailing faster and smarter with greater confidence. Where sailing is simplified for beginners as they learn fundamental skills and concepts, intermediate sailors are ready for deeper explanations and some of the details behind how a sailboat works.

Attend this 60-minute zoom workshop and learn to sail with a symmetric spinnaker. We’ll review video training footage and discuss basic and intermediate spinnaker handling techniques that are common on boats sailed at Clinton Lake. Wind Shifts & Compass
Tack on the headers and reach the windward mark faster! Watch out for persistent shifts. Use your compass to determine whether you are lifted or headed. CLSA instructors will explain how to leverage your compass and how to turn it into a tactical advantage over your competitors.
A good start greatly improves your chances of scoring a good finish. Learn from experienced regatta racers how to approach the start of a sailboat race and learn training exercises that will give you a competitive advantage on the race course.
