Parkland College Try Sailing Forum

** REGISTRATION IS OPEN** April 15. 6pm-8pm. Learn basic sailing principles in a classroom at Parkland College with a US Sailing Certified Instructor. Attend this class and you’ll understand how a sailboat works. You’ll have usable knowledge of common commands and basic sailing terminology. Although this forum is not a requirement to take a Free Sailing Lesson, you'll be more prepared and get more from your first sailing experience. We'll also discuss the many Go Sailing! opportunities at Clinton Lake and beyond. ($25)

Free Sailing Lesson

This unique on-the-water opportunity is designed to provide a memorable experience that will motivate newcomers to continue sailing. Offered every Wednesday evening throughout the season and select Saturdays mornings in the spring and early summer. Adults 18+. Limit one lesson per person.

First Sail Essentials

Learn basic sailing principles with First Sail Essentials, a free online learn to sail portal.

All Free Lesson participants must complete the First Sail Essentials Safety Quiz and Waiver prior to seminar.
