More Thistles than Scots!
in

It was a rare day of racing Sunday as Thistles and Cabin boats dominated the racing in perfect 12 to 20 mph breezes. Bill Vokac set a perfect W/L course safely in the far southern end of "the Basin".With "the old man"[Dick Hansen] aboard, Gerry Christman was flying on his Thistle all day.. Craig Rost [ Alex Lubudnicthev on the Jib]was right on his heels..Rick Wojnar with his dad poling out the spinnaker could barely keep the Thistles close even planing off wind flying"The Kite" in challenging downwind conditions.Rod Mosely brought his awesome J-24 to the windward/leeward event and won the cabin boat division handily. The previous day[saturday] finally saw completion of the "Beer-can-regatta" with lasers and a wayward "Banshee" wafting in "no wind"[they promised 10mph!].Gerry Christman nosed out Richard Wojnar by .25 after 3 triangle races somehow got completed.
