Summer Solstice racing and happy Fathers day!

Great wind for the "beer can" laser regatta..on saturday.Paul Gush ruled the roost and took first place honors in perfect 12 mph  sailing conditions.Paul has been upgrading his rigging to the latest and greatest gear available and it showed! For fathers day on the summer solstice sun-day..the u of i sailing club gave the clsa fleet a lesson as Jose Meier totally dominated the Scots in his little 420 in the light air. He took 3 bullets with Bill Vokac and crew Bill East battled Larry Payonk and Gloria for second place in the windward /leeward race. Jose is from spain and has brought over outstanding sailing skills to go with his postgraduate engineering degree.Dan Harmon and son Patrick where seen sailing their laser and butterfly course respectively testing out their skills staying clear of the racing boats.
