Volunteers


Your membership in the Clinton Lake Sailing Association goes a very long way to support our goal to promote sailing in Central Illinois.  If you are looking for a way to provide additional support to our organization at one of our many events or activities, look no further!  CLSA runs on Volunteer energy and this page contains a wide variety of opportunities for you to help.

2018 Work Days:

·         Spring Workday – Saturday, April 28

·         Summer Workday – Sunday, July 22

·         Fall Workday – Saturday  Sept 15

·         Winter Workday – Saturday, Oct 27 

 

All Summer: Lawn Mowing -  Click Here to Sign Up – volunteers are asked to sign up for a two week period to be responsible for mowing and trimming the CLSA grounds.

All Summer: Race Committee Support -  Click Here to Sign Up – volunteers are asked to coordinate the pre-race skippers' meeting, start races and record finishing times. The Race Committee also serves as a safety boat for our club racing.

All Summer: Host or Co-Host a Social Event - <Click Here to Sign Up>– volunteers are asked to sign up to host or co-host one of CLSA’s Social events.

URGENT - Begins May 21: Spring Intro to Sailing - Click Here to Sign Up – volunteers are asked to support a safe sailing environment during classes by serving on safety boats and shore support.  You do not need to be an experienced sailor to assist.

June 2-3: Thistle Regatta Support - Click Here to Sign Up – volunteers are asked to help make the Thistle Regatta a success for our club by assisting with food set up, serving on safety boats, and an event photographer.

June 9: Parent Child Class - Click Here to Sign Up – volunteers are asked to support a safe sailing environment during classes by serving on safety boats and shore support.  You do not need to be an experienced sailor to assist.

July 14: Youth Sailing Camp - Click Here to Sign Up – volunteers are asked to support a safe sailing environment during classes by serving on safety boats and shore support.  You do not need to be an experienced sailor to assist.

Begins July 31: Late Summer Intro to Sailing - Click Here to Sign Up - volunteers are asked to support a safe sailing environment during classes by serving on safety boats and shore support.  You do not need to be an experienced sailor to assist.
