The annual CLSA Commodore's Reception occured on Saturday, June 21. It was a picture-perfect evening, as you can see from the photos below, taken by Ben Williams. The story was contributed by Deb Aronson.

More than 20 people attended the Commodore’s Reception Saturday night. The weather was beautiful; the winds were steady and the skies clear. The cookout featured brats, hamburgers, chicken and hot dogs. Frank Scotello, this year’s commodore, manned the grill. Club members contributed a wide range of delicious side dishes, including fresh fruit, a salad featuring almonds and Ramen noodles, macaroni and cheese not to mention many yummy desserts. There was much gamming going on, a word I had never heard before. It rhymes with “jamming” and does not refer to winning any money, but instead means “a social visit or friendly interchange, especially between whalers or seafarers and especially at sea.”
