We energetically invite you to the Glow in the Dark Regatta, September 26 - 28, 2008. This regatta, which has a long history, is held in the shadow of the Clinton Lake Nuclear Power Plant.

Flying Scot fleet 135 at Clinton Lake Sailing Association has been growing fast and recently reached "critical mass." To celebrate, we "reignited" the Glow last year. The 2007 Glow II was a great success, as you can see from the photos below.

Please join us for the 2008 Glow. Register early by mail and receive a discount on the regatta fee. Please follow the "Forms" links at the top of the page for a registration form that is ready to print.

The T-shirt design (front and back) for Glow 2008 is shown below. If you want T-shirts, you need to order them on your registration form, and we need to receive your order by September 15.

Why the "Glow II" name? We changed the name to highlight a few changes in the format of the regatta:

  • The emphasis of the Glow II will be on great racing.
  • The Saturday night steak dinner will be held in the CLSA pavilion.
  • In keeping with the Glow tradition of Scots bringing food to share, we ask that those planning to arrive for the Friday Night Welcome Party plan to bring food to eat and share. We will provide grills, soda and beer. If you let us know what you plan to contribute on your registration form, we will post this information on the "Who’s coming?" page of this web site.

Just to "wet" your appetite, here are some photos from the 2007 regatta taken by Glow photographer Doug Williams.
